Local 79 Volunteers Clean Up Flushing Meadows-Corona Park

On May 15, 2016 nearly 150 Local 79 members and family joined together for the annual park cleanup at Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. The New York City Parks Department provided guidance and tolls to the Local 79 volunteers as they worked to help clean and maintain the largest park in Queens and the fourth largest park in New York City. “I am very gratified that every year this event gets bigger,” said Local 79 Business Agent Juan Mazlymian. “This is one of many ways that Local 79 members and their families give back to the community in which they live. “
