What: It’s time to take it to the streets! Join your brothers and sisters in the fight to elect candidates for office that are friends of labor. Just as we did in previous years, we’ll be helping candidates and supporting campaigns.

Recently, a new Independent Expenditure committee called “Laborers Building a Better New York” was formed to assist in campaign activities with Local 79 members.  Each member will be given a $50 stipend for a full four hour shift to participate in campaign activities with the Independent Expenditure.  Activities will be primarily handing out literature at subway stops for certain candidates in New York City.  Shifts will either be in the morning between the hours of 6:30 am – 10:30 am, or 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.
