9/11 Memorial Museum to Offer Special Event For Rescue and Recovery Workers
From 4:00 p.m. until midnight on Thursday, May 28, the 9/11 Memorial Museum will be reserved for the 9/11 rescue and recovery worker community. Local 79 Members: Albany Rally Alert!
Local 79 members are encouraged to come to a rally in Albany to ensure that any extension of 421-a, the tax abatement program for wealthy developers, contains provisions ensuring that the affordable housing built in exchange for the tax breaks will pay workers prevailing wage. Join the Annual May Day Rally!
On May 1, 2015, Local 79 members will join thousands of workers and community activists outside billionaire Walmart owner Alice Walton's home on the corner of 60th Street between Park and Lexington Avenue.
