On June 24, 10 members of Local 79 will join 10 members of HEART 9/11 on a relief mission to Ecuador, where they will donate a week of their time and labor to help build 100 pre-fab homes for families who lost their houses in the devastating earthquake on April 16 of this year. This is one of many times that Local 79 has joined forces with HEART 9/11 to provide assistance to domestic and international regions that have been struck by disasters. Local 79 salutes all the individuals who are going on this relief mission to Ecuador!
Local 79 will be working with a relief organization to send a number of members to Ecuador to assist with earthquake relief. The exact date is to be determined. If interested, contact Juan Mazlymian at 917-881-5767.
