MTDC PAC Director Mike McGuire Defends the Scaffold Safety Law

Mike McGuire, director of the Mason Tenders' District Council Political Action Committee, was interviewed about the scaffold safety law by Liz Benjamin on "Capital Tonight," a program that airs five nights a week in Albany, NY. McGuire argues forcefully about the importance of the law, which is once again under attack in Albany. See the video here.

Free Hammer and Hammer Holder Available for All Local 79 Members

All Local 79 members in good standing are encouraged to come and pick up a free specially designed hammer and hammer holder from Local 79's Dues Department (Monday through Friday, 8:00 am until 5:00 pm. ) The hammers have Local 79 wood-burned into their handles and the leather hammer holders have Local 79's logo embossed on them. .

Workshop on New Immigration Policies at Local 79

Local 79 and Make the Road New York have offered a series of workshops to inform Local 79 members about President Obama's new executive order regarding immigration and the ways in which it might affect members and their families. The next workshop will be held at 1:00 pm on Sunday, March 29th at Local 79's offices. East New York Rally Draws a Thousand People
