The next date for open recruitment for Local 79’s apprenticeship program is August 3rd at 9:00 am. Information about apprenticeship, the requirements, and how the recruitment process is carried out is available through the New York State Department of Labor and through the Local 79 and the Mason Tenders’ Training Fund websites.
Business Manager Mike Prohaska and the entire Executive Board would like to thank the membership for their unprecedented support of the Clean Slate in its 8th consecutive victory. All 11 members of the Clean Slate were unanimously nominated. Mike Prohaska has been a member of the E-Board and the Clean Slate since the inception of Local 79 and is its longest serving Business Manager.
