Building Trades Solidarity Rally
Thousands of Building Trades members came together after work on November 14th to speak out against Open Shop in NYC. Graniteville Quarry Clean-up
Local 79 members in Staten Island gave back to their community at the 15th Annual Graniteville Quarry clean-up at Mariners Harbor. Columbus Day Parade
Local 79 attended two Columbus Day Parades this year. On Sunday, Local 79 members showed their union pride in the Bronx at the Morris Park Columbus Day Parade. Hundreds of Local 79 members joined a crowd of many thousands for the annual African American Day Parade in Harlem. Walk for St. Mary’s Kids
Hundreds of Local 79 members and their families went to Coney Island on the morning of September 16 to participate in a Walk for St. Mary’s Kids, aiming to meet their 5-year goal of raising $500,000 for St. Mary’s Hospital. Labor Day Parade 2017
Over 700 Laborers Local 79 members and their families came out to show their Union Pride with others in the Labor movement. It was by far the largest Local 79 turnout ever. Our local is at our strongest when we come together. Throngs of onlookers lined the streets as cries of “Whose City?
