2023 African American Day Parade
Hundreds of Local 79 members joined a crowd of many thousands for the annual African American Day Parade in Harlem. Labor Day Parade 2023
Almost a thousand Local 79 members joined the New York City labor movement to celebrate Labor Day as they marched down Fifth Avenue. Labor Day, which started in the 19th century, celebrated and continues to celebrate unions, which organize and fight hard to ensure that workers can earn just wages, work fair hours, have safe working conditions, and receive other benefits that provide them the opportunity to live dignified lives. Sign up for RISE Builder Class!
All members that have taken RISE Foundation are invited to sign up for the next level class RISE Builder. This course teaches basic organizing tactics and how to successfully defend against typical anti-union statements.
