Let us all give a big congratulations to Jose Andino on his retirement. Jose is a tried and true Laborer. He has proudly served our union as a Business Agent for the demolition industry. Jose has been an Executive Board member for the last 5 years and previously was our Sergeant-at-Arms from 2012-2015 and before that was a longstanding Auditor for many years.
Over the course of three decades, Jose has been a member of Local 79 and worked with me during our historic campaign to organize the demolition industry. He has been a dedicated activist throughout his career. No matter what, Jose always stepped up to aid our union in whatever was needed. Everyone in our union knows that Jose is a straight-shooter and is someone you would want to reach out to for help with any problem.
I look forward to celebrating Jose’s retirement with all of you whenever our next in-person membership meeting will be. I wish Jose and his family the best of luck as he enjoys the fruits of his decades of hard work.
