Park Cleanup Weekend: Local 79 Volunteers Needed

What: Join members of Local 79 on Saturday, May 16 to help clean up Flushing Meadows-Corona Park in Queens.

When: Saturday, May 16: Breakfast at 9:00 am. Cleanup project begins at 10:00 am

Where: Take the subway to the #7 Willets Point/Shea Stadium station. Walk down the boardwalk and meet at the Passerelle Circle at the entrance to the park.

Local 79 Health Fair is Huge Success

 

Over 1,100 Local 79 members and their families came to Local 79’s Health Fair at Coleman Country Day Camp on June 7 and enjoyed beautiful sunshine, delicious food, non-stop music and activities, and a wide array of health screenings. The health screenings included blood pressure and heart rate readings, pulmonary tests, cholesterol and glucose screenings, and lots of information from various health care providers.
