Over 1,100 Local 79 members and their families came to Local 79’s Health Fair at Coleman Country Day Camp on June 7 and enjoyed beautiful sunshine, delicious food, non-stop music and activities, and a wide array of health screenings. The health screenings included blood pressure and heart rate readings, pulmonary tests, cholesterol and glucose screenings, and lots of information from various health care providers. Wristband sales to members for the Health Fair and the 50/50 raffle at the Fair will result in a contribution of $6,000 to St. Mary’s Hospital for Children.

Local 79 would like to thank the New York State Laborers’ Health & Safety Fund, the Mason Tenders’ District Council. LECET, the Mason Tenders’ Trust Funds, and Local 79 staff for their financial support and assistance. The Local would also like to thank all Local 79 members and their families who helped make this event such a big success. It was great to see so many of you come out and enjoy the day with your fellow Local 79 members and staff.
