Mike Prohaska Joins Board of Nontraditional Employment for Women
On April 1st, 2014, Local 79 Business Manager Mike Prohaska was voted onto the Board of Nontraditional Employment for Women (NEW). Founded in 1978, NEW, whose mission is to prepare women for skilled, unionized jobs in the trades, serves women from all five boroughs in New York City. Memorial Mass Honors Construction Workers

Join the members of Local 79 and their families for a fun-filled all-day outing. Historic Agreement Reached with Brookfield Properties
The Building and Construction Trades Council of Greater New York recently signed a portfolio labor agreement with Brookfield Properties, an agreement that covers virtually all of Brookfield’s existing and new construction.
