#CountMeIn in Times Square

10,000 union brothers and sisters stretched over two blocks of Times Square to declare New York City is a Union Town! The #CountMeIn Movement stood united and sent a message to developers that the NYC Building Trades members will not be divided in their fight for fairness. Business Manager Mike Prohaska gave a fiery speech and emphasized, “There’s a union shop & there’s a non union shop, anyone who tells you they believe in open shop doesn’t believe in a union!” Mason Tenders Business Manager Bobby Bonanza also spoke and explained that “Open shop is a knock-off model manufactured by corporate greed. We will not allow contractors to profit off the exploitation of their workers.” All at the rally agreed, “Open Shop is a Broken Shop!”
