Local 79 Volunteers in Haiti with H.E.A.R.T. 9/11
Local 79 members volunteered to help rebuild Haiti with H.E.A.R.T. 9/11. Also, on the service trip were other union members from the FDNY, New York City District Council of Carpenters, Port Authority Police Department and Local 28 Sheet Metal Workers. Over 200 Local 79 members volunteered on Sunday, May 21 to help clean up Flushing Meadows-Corona Park. Mike Prohaska Honored to be NY State Laborer Trustee
Local 79 is proud to announce that Business Manager Mike Prohaska has been asked to be a trustee of the New York State Laborers’ Health & Safety, PAC and LECET funds. African-American Day Parade 2016
Hundreds of Local 79 members joined a crowd of many thousands for the annual African American Day Parade in Harlem.
